Sport England is seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer with strong knowledge and experience of the Data Protection Act, UK General Data Protection Regulation and related legislation. This is a full-time position (36 hours per week).
We are looking for a person who is compliance-driven, can demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills and have an ability to influence, encourage and support positive change within an organisation.
Day-to-day you will provide advice, including to the Leadership Team highlighting risks, and proposing mitigations where appropriate and maintenance of records required to demonstrate data protection compliance.
You will also have the ability to use independent judgement and discretion when making the majority of decisions all while maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
